Introduction

The onset of the intrinsicoid deflection (ID) represents the time period for the impulse to pass through the ventricles from the endocardium to the epicardium underlying the exploring electrode. It is measure from the onset of the QRS complex to the peak of the R wave. The upper limit of normal for the left ventricle measured in V5 or V6 is 0.045 sec & for the right ventricle measured in V1 or V2 is 0.035 sec.

Delays in onset of ID:

leads arrhythmia
V5 & V6 LVH, LBBB
V1 & V2 RVH, RBBB
