Introduction

A collection of lesions resembling lentigo simplex clinically & histologically. Lentiginosis may occur as multiple lesions in the vulvar mucus membrane or as isolated lesions on the lips, buccal mucosa or on the fingers & toes. Distribution is distinctive. It may be associated with small intestinal polyposis (Peutz Jeghers syndrome) & rarely carcinoma of the small intestine.
