Etiology
- xerosis
- drug reactions
- 50% of patients react to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole
- psoriasis
- folliculitis (Staphylococcus aureus)
- eosinophilic folliculitis (CD4 count < 200/mm3)
- scabies (including Norwegian scabies)
Management
- antiretroviral therapy
- symptomatic treatment
- treat underlying etiology
