Introduction
An instrument invented by Rene Laennec for listening to respiratory & cardiac sounds in the chest, now modified & used in various ways for auscultation of vascular & other sounds in various parts of the body.
Notes
- a novel stethoscope that uses a tablet computer can recognize 5 different respiratory sounds: normal, rhonchi, wheezes, fine crackles, coarse crackles[2]
