Indications
- assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms
Clinical significance
- score can help guide timing & choice of interventions & assess their effect over time
Procedure
- score based on answers to 7 questions concerning urinary symptoms & 1 question about the degree to which symptoms are bothersome[2]
- 0-5 points assigned to each urinary symptom question
- score range 1-7 (mild), 8-19 (moderate), 20-35 (severe)
- 0-6 points assigned to bothersome question (worse score higher)
