Introduction

DHEA-sulfate declines with age in cross-sectional studies. However interindividual variability in serum DHEA levels is much larger than any age-related change. Serum cortisol tends to increase with age. Norepinephrine does not change. It may be difficult to envision the adrenpause as a real entity.
