Introduction

Also called bladder neck suspension. A term for several surgical procedures employed to treat urethral hypermobility by elevating & securing the bladder to its proper position within the body. The two major types of bladder suspension surgical procedures are:

• Retropubic bladder suspension
• Needle bladder neck suspension.
